In the guidance, you as a person are central. A number of recurring life themes are examined within a safe framework. There may be a pattern. This is dealing in a repetitive way with a situation in which you often do not feel well. In dialogue we examine the meaning of these patterns. This can lead to new insights, from which you will deal with these themes in a different way.


The guidance consists of conversation therapy supplemented with techniques and exercises from the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). The emphasis is on the influence of thoughts, feelings and behaviour on experienced difficulties and how to deal with them differently. In this way we work on resilience, self-confidence and growing in self-esteem. Deepening is possible on the basis of homework assignments that are discussed in the following session. The frequency of appointments is determined in consultation.

Nonviolent communication' consists of a number of communication skills that help us to express ourselves in a conscious way, namely from what we perceive, feel and need, and not from automatic reaction patterns such as defending, retreating or attacking. Nonviolent communication thus creates a safe, neutral playing field where we can get our message across honestly and meet each other in a respectful way.


Nonviolent communication teaches you:

- express yourself in a clear way

- stay with yourself no matter how another person expresses himself

- dealing with difficult messages

- to give your authentic and assertive opinion in a respectful way
